Accredited Advisor of the Year Award
The Award recognises an individual who has contributed to FBA, its members and Family Businesses over an extended period of time. The recipient demonstrates significant, sustained and high quality service to family businesses, enhancing the reputation and future of the organisation that they are advising to, along with contributing to the objectives of FBA.
2024 Winner - Dr Darryl Cross, SA
Darryl's achievements as an Accredited Advisor show dedication and commitment to the values of FBA. He has demonstrated unwavering support for individuals, families, and family businesses, helping them navigate the complexities of personal and professional dynamics. Darryl's extensive background as both a clinical and organisational psychologist, coupled with his accreditation as a personal and executive coach, has equipped him with a wealth of skills and knowledge to assist family businesses to connect across generations and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.

Emerging Generation Achiever Award
The Emerging Generation Achiever Award highlights the role played by emerging family business leaders. It recognises an outstanding person who is successfully navigating the path to leadership in the family business. The recipient embraces best-practice in the business, and demonstrates commitment to and understanding of the family values and history.
2024 Winner - Brydie Hull, Tobin Brothers Funerals, VIC
As the Funeral Communications Centre Manager, Brydie plays a pivotal role in overseeing two of the Tobin Brothers' most critical departments – the Funeral Advice Line and the Coordination department. Under Brydie's leadership, her team of 30 people has become a beacon of support and compassion for the client families, providing invaluable assistance and guidance. Brydie has spearheaded initiatives to modernise operations and ensures that client families receive the highest level of service and support during their time of need.

FBA Leading Women in Family Business Award recognises an outstanding woman who demonstrates significant achievements in business leadership and who champions and supports the role of women in family business and the wider community.
2024 Winner - Shiree Bennett, Bennetts Steel, NSW
Shiree's journey with Bennetts Steel began in 2014, when she stepped into the role of Sales & Finance Director. Over the years, she has proven her determination time and again, exhibiting unwavering commitment and a relentless drive for success. From steering the company as General Manager since 2018 to pioneering initiatives that have propelled Bennetts Steel to new heights, Shiree embodies the essence of leadership and innovation.

Sustainable Development in Family Business Award
FBA Sustainable Development in Family Business Award recognises family businesses that demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainable business practices that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. FBA proudly recognises that the family business sector has an excellent record in leading sustainable development through its focus on stewardship and long-term business survival as opposed to short term gains - FBA supports and encourages this practice. When these developments also enhance the business success and performance, there is benefit for the environment, the family and the business, and this deserves to be recognised and promoted.
